Lorde covers V Magazine's music issue

There are few artists more representative of the music of the last year than Lorde. The New Zealand teen rocketed up the Top 40 and ended up with two Grammys for her efforts so it should come as no surprise that V chose the "Team" singer for the cover of their "Music Issue."

Lorde was one of four alternate covers for the magazine. Indie sister trio Haim,  dream-poppers Say Lou Lou and BANKS were all highlighted. Check out the other covers over at Idolator.

The interviewee compared Lorde to recent Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame inductees, Nirvana. But the teen made a smart PR move in calling the question out as ludicrous.

Oh, come on! I'm sure so many people will read that and be like, 'Fuck off," she said.

Also, it seems even Ella herself is tired of hearing "Royals" all the time.

"I want to let people stop hearing Lorde on the radio all the time, because it's kind of crazy at the moment," she said. "I'd like to give people a little bit of breathing room before I unleash something different."
