Britain's Biggest Boxing Fight Set With World Set to Watch
As 2013 came to a close the world watched as two of the best boxers around today went head-to-head. Carl Froch fought George Groves, and both British boxers are more than established at the elite level of boxing, so the world was curious as to what would happen. In one of the most breathtaking boxing fights of all time, Groves nearly pulled off a massive upset, and deserved to do so, until the referee stopped the fight as Froch took control near its end. This time, not just Britain, but the world demanded a rematch.
On February 13th 2014 they got what they'd been wishing for. Carl Froch v George Groves II will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2014, in what is set to break attendance records in boxing. This fight has the world discussing its winner already and it's months away. Froch will, for a second time, put his WBA and IBF world super-middleweight titles on the line against the talented London boy, Groves.
The winner of this will be set for many attractive fights in the USA during the coming years. Both have a huge reputation for different reasons, but this fight will make or break their careers, and the boxing world has the one fight that everybody has been asking for. Groves, who put Froch down in the first round last time, is still not regarded as the favourite, but nobody will write him off as they did before.
The world's will be watching the pair battle as summer commences, but which will be victorious?
