Best Celebrity Instagrams of the Week: USA Olympians take selfies, show snow through a filtered lens
The 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, are well on their way. And while American athletes are only doing so-so in the medal count, one thing about them is totally on point: their Instagram game.
For this week's Best Celebrity Instagram, we travel all around the globe to Sochi and check out what USA athletes have been up to. Spoiler alert: snow and medals and selfies, galore!
Bronze medal winning luger Erin Hamlin showed off her shiny new award courtesy of her friend (and fellow Olympian luger) Kate Hansen, who blessed her medal with this goofy dance:
And when she's not dancing, Hansen is taking selfies with (arguably) the most famous US Olympic athlete this winter: Shaun White. Hang loose!
Selfies are obviously all the rage in Sochi. Gold medalist Sage Kotsenberg snapped this hairy pic during the qualifying rounds with his pal Aimee Fuller. Wow. Such blonde. Much tongue.
Sage popped up in another selfie with Jamie Anderson. She showed off her gold medal for freestyle snowboarding alongside her fellow winning teammate.
Meanwhile, snowboarders Greg Bretz and Danny Davis channeled Miley Cyrus with their tongue-wagging "Go USA faces."
Despite all those lovely snapshots, no Olympic athlete does the Sochi selfie quite like snowboarder Hannah Teter. Check out this ballin' snowy picture. No other commentary necessary. The background is simply breathtaking.
The Olympics wouldn't be complete without some American pride, which bronze medalist Julia Mancuso has down to a science, showing off the ol' stars and stripes after her big skiing win.
Lolo Jones and friends also went nuts with the American flag as spectators.
But no one watch the Olympics like skier Bobby Brown, who captured this sweet action shot:
And, finally, we'll leave you with this wonderfully snowy landscape, courtesy of skier Keri Herman.
