Katherine Heigl is on the take for some cash, for her new film of course.

According to CBS News, the producers of Heigl's new indie film, Jenny's Wedding, are seeking crowdfunding to raise enough money to complete post-production.

The film was shot in November but filmmakers are now asking for help from the public. The producers have teamed up with the San Francisco-based crowdfunding site Indiegogo to generate funds. They are hoping to reach their goal of $150,000 in donations by March 28.

Previous crowdfunding campaigns like Spike Lee on Kickstarter caused filmmakers to return the funds if their goal wasn't reached. This won't be the case for Heigl and her producers. They will be able to keep all donations even if the goal isn't reached.

And there is something special in store for donors. Donors will receive varied gifts depending on the amount of money they contribute to the campaign.

A $10 donation grants access to post a message on the film's Facebook page. A Jenny's Wedding coffee mug comes with a $40 donation and the actual wedding dress worn by Heigl in the film can be yours for a donation of $15,000.

Heigl stars in the film as the lead character who shocks her traditional parents, played by Tom Wilkinson and Linda Emond, when she decides to marry a woman.

The film also stars Grace Gummer, daughter of Meryl Streep.

Jenny's Wedding was written by Mary Agnes Donoghue, who is known for the screenplays of 1988's Beaches and 2002's White Oleander.
