Billy Corgan plans nine-hour synth performance based around Herman Hesse's Siddhartha
Today in eye-roll: Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins has planned an 8-9 hour long synthesizer jam based around Herman Hesse's novel Siddhartha.
The concert will take place in Corgan's Highland Park, Chicago teahouse, Madame ZuZu's. The event will consist of readings from the influential book while Corgan composes accompanying music "on the fly."
"Readings of the text to go hand in hand with whatever is created," Corgan said in a Facebook post.
Corgan is keeping busy in 2014, having already announced that the Smashing Pumpkins are working on a new album last year.
The concert will take place on Febraury 28 and will probably be pretty awesome while still giving Iggy Pop more reason's to make fun of the Pumpkins' frontman.
