Sarah Hyland sexual assault after 'Modern Family' party leads to arrest: starlet apologizes to Twitter fans after creepy man gropes breasts, boyfriend Matt Prokop tweets about 'a$$hole' move

Following a "Modern Family" party held in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday evening (Feb. 19), an unidentified man was arrested after attempting to grope actress Sarah Hyland's breast. The 23-year-old starlet later apologized to fans on Twitter for not sticking around longer to take photos or sign autographs.

Reports confirm that Hyland was chatting with fans outside of the event when the assault occured. After the guy approached, the young Hollywood beauty allegedly yelled, "Don't touch me there!" Her security ran to the rescue and questioned the man before promptly arresting him.

The "Vampire Academy" star later tweeted:

@Sarah_Hyland: "Sorry to all the fans outside the #qantas event that I didn't get to say hi to but I had to leave due to an inappropriate touch of a fan."

Hyland's longtime boyfriend Matt Prokop also tweeted:

@mattpro13: "To the a$$hole who assaulted Sarah tonight I hope to God you don't see next week."

@mattpro13: "All Sarah wanted to do tonight was say hi to the girls who were waiting outside one douche can ruin it for everyone. Goodnight."

The cast of "Modern Family" is currently "Down Under" to film a vacation episode.
