WWE held a conference call (hosted by Chief Financial Officer George Barrios and Vince McMahon) with investors on Thursday to discuss the company's fourth-quarter results. During the call, Vince McMahon issued his first public, albeit brief, comments on the CM Punk situation.

"He's taking a sabbatical," McMahon said. "Let's just put it that way."

Not much can be gleaned from McMahon's extremely brief comments, but this is the first time he has spoken publicly about CM Punk's abrupt exit from the company. Reports have stated that McMahon is handling the situation himself and that the rest of the WWE brass is staying out of it. McMahon and Triple H also reportedly disagree on the situation, as McMahon wants Punk back, while Triple H is not too keen on his return.

John Cena and Bray Wyatt at Elimination Chamber

John Cena will compete for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship along with Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, Antonio Cesaro, Sheamus and Christian inside the Elimination Chamber at the pay-per-view of the same name on Sunday. The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE will likely run an angle in which The Wyatt Family costs Cena the title during the match in order to set up the rumored Cena vs. Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania 30.

The card for the year's biggest pay-per-view in New Orleans has reportedly been fluid during the past several weeks, but Cena vs. Wyatt is one match that has been discussed frequently.
