Check out the first image of 2014 'Godzilla' reboot monster on Empire magazine and hear his roar [LISTEN]
The release date for the Godzilla reboot is coming up quickly (May 16, 2014) so we're not too surprised when some updates were dropped this week. But these were huge pieces of news in regards to the movie including what this updated Godzilla creature looks like and even the roar we can expect to hear in theaters to send chills down our spines!
Empire debuted the first image of the monster on its April 2014 issue's cover, which is available for subscribers only. Check out this artistic and revealing image right here:
As you can see, director Gareth Edwards has basically just updated the classic Japanese version of Godzilla in order to both pay homage to the franchise and reinvent it in a way.
Last week, the first poster of the film featuring the creature was released. It helped detail the size of this rebooted monster in comparison to San Francisco. Click here to check out the newest movie poster for Godzilla.
In anticipation for the film's release, Warner Bros. decided to release the roar of the beast, too. This is the sound you'll hear through theater speakers, quaking your comfortable seat.
