It's been about a month since Isaiah Rashad released his debut EP Cilvia Demo. Highly anticipated upon release and critically acclaimed ever since, the Tennessee rapper definitely proved that he can hold his own.

The EP features the likes of his TDE label mates Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock and SZA but there was one track in particular that stood out: the Farhot produced "Tranquility."

Rashad recently took a minute to break down the lyrics of "Tranquility" for Jay Z's Life+Times series DECODED.

In the past, the series has featured Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Macklemore and Ab-Soul.

"That's what 'Tranquility' is all about, coexisting within the peace and the bulls**t. The good and the bad," Rashad explains in the video. "The track isn't about emphasizing how f**ked up the world is. It's just saying the world [is] f**ked up. And that's just what it is. And that's what it's gonna be."

Isaiah Rashad flexes some serious, thought provoking lyrical skills. Check out his episode below and purchase Cilvia Demo on iTunes.

And if you can't get enough of the TDE gang, stream Schoolboy Q's Oxymoron now before it hits stores tomorrow (Feb. 25).

The 15 track album features guest appearances by Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Ab-Soul, Danny Brown, Raekwon, Tyler, The Creator, 2 Chainz, Joy and Sugar Free.

According to Top Dawg CEO Anthony Tiffith, this is just the tip of the iceberg for the label.

Back in December, he sent out this tweet: "We ran 2013 without dropping 1 album. I wonder wuts gone happen in 2014 when I drop 6. They not ready 4 this."

Stay tuned for the TDE takeover.
