Lena Dunham to Host SNL March 8
HBO Girls star and creator, Lena Dunham, will host March 8. The announcement comes after the setting of Dunham's debut book launch and the renewal of Girls for a fourth season. The musical guest for the night will be The National.
The hosting gig and musical performance will be a first for both parties. HBO Girls has been parodied on the sketch comedy, but Dunham has never been a part of the cast herself. About the parody, Dunham had said it was "a true honor."
Dunham has said via Twitter, "Thank you for the SNL love. Dream come true. Can't wait to debut my character 'girl who googled serial killers all night & has lots to say'!"

The National's most recent album, Trouble Will Find Me, has received a Grammy nomination for best alternative album. The band's documentary Mistaken for Strangers will be in theaters March 28. The film was directed by the lead singer's brother, Tom Berninger. The documentary debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival last year.
