R. Kelly Cancels New York Appearances Due to Illness

R&B Star R. Kelly had to cancel NYC schedules because of health issue.
A statement from the singer's representative read, "Initial indications are that he is suffering from complications from surgery he had last year to treat an abscess on his vocal cords. It is unclear how long Kelly may be sidelined."
Kelly was on the way to New York City to promote his book "Soulacoaster: The Diary of Me" released Thursday (6/28) and new album, 'Write Me Back' released Tuesday (6/26). The three-time Grammy Winner was scheduled to appear on The Jimmy Fallon Show and Today as well as a book party.
The 45-year-old singer returned back to his hometown, Chicago for medical treatment.
