Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart break-up influenced by 'Twilight' heartthrob's mom? 'Dominating personality' haults romantic reunion
Robert Pattinson's mom Clare Pattinson isn't the biggest fan of Kristen Stewart, considering the "Twilight" beauty cheated on R-Patz with much-older movie director Rupert Sanders. Is mama Pattinson the main reason why the British heartthrob hasn't rekindled a romance with K-Stew?
In a recent interview with Teen Vogue, 27-year-old Pattinson admits that he's very close to his mom, and her opinion means a lot to him:
"My mum's quite a dominant personality," he reveals. But in the long run, that usually helps with romancing women. "...I've always been very comfortable around girls."
But maybe not this time, considering Pattinson's entire family doesn't trust Stewart since her infamous cheating scandal a few summers ago.
Meanwhile, K-Stew revealed in a recent interview with Marie Claire:
"I stand by every mistake I've ever made, so judge away. You don't know who you will fall in love with. You just don't. You don't control it... Some people have certain things, like, 'That's what I'm going for,' and I have a subjective version of that. I don't pressure myself … If you fall in love with someone, you want to own them—but really, why would you want that? You want them to be what you love. I'm much too young to even have an answer for that question."
Will Mrs. Pattinson ever be ready to forgive her so that Robsten can rekindle their long-lost flame?
Maybe not.
Last year, an insider told Look magazine that she was the main reason R-Patz broke-up with Stewart in the first place:
"[Clare] seemed very unhappy that he and Kristen got back together. She was incredibly shocked by those pictures of Kristen with Rupert and couldn't understand why anyone would want to cheat on her son... To begin with, it was like Clare didn't want to lay eyes on Kristen again, but of course she and Rob reunited and that was difficult for her."
Will the Pattinson clan ever be able to forgive Stewart and welcome her back into their family?
