Portishead are officially (sorta) beginning the process that leads to a new album, presumably to show The Weeknd how it's done.
"We're clearing our schedules so we can get on with it, otherwise it will be another ten years," said the band's Adrian Utley at a Quietus Q&A session.
Utley added that he's talked to Geoff Barrow and he seems ready for a new album.
"We were both really enthusiastic, and enthusiasm counts for a lot in Portishead world," he said.
Barrow was last seen bashing Abel Tesfaye for jacking his band's music, using it for a terrible album and lying about it. A new album from Portishead will be at least as good.
