Bill O’Reilly wants to get rid of Jay Z, Kanye West and other 'gangsta rappers'
Bill O'Reilly is back at it again and this time he's singling out the "gangsta rappers" that are influencing young minorities, as he put it.
O'Reilly recently spoke with President Obama's senior advisor Valerie Jarrett about the president's new initiative, called "My Brother's Keeper."
And of course O'Reilly lent his opinion. He says that in order to improve the minority community, they need to "attack" the source of the problem. O'Reilly made a good point but then reverted to his old ways by calling Jay Z and Kanye West "gangsta rappers."
"You have to attack the fundamental disease if you want to cure it," the Fox News host said. "You're gonna have to get people like Jay-Z, Kanye West, all these gangsta rappers to knock it off."
O'Reilly gave an interesting suggestion to get rappers to use their celebrity in a positive way. He says in order to see a change all rappers need to "go on TV and announce that that kind of behavior "is wrong."
"They [young men] idolize these guys with the hats on backwards, and the terrible rap lyrics and the drugs and all of that," O'Really said. "You've gotta get these guys."
In President Obama's latest initiative, he called on America's businesses, philanthropists and government leaders to join forces to put more young men on a path towards success.
Among those called upon were The Ford Foundation and the Robert Wood Foundation. The foundations were to announce pledges to spend at least $200 million over five years.
