Basketball Wives L.A. reality star, Brandi Maxiell EXCLUSIVELY chats with MStars News about her accidental beefs with Brittish Williams and Sundy Carter, adoption, not being friends with Jackie Christie, and spreading ovarian cancer awareness.

Freshman cast member, Maxiell is no stranger to the NBA lifestyle with her husband, Jason Maxiell -who currently plays for the Orlando Magic- however is learning a lot from appearing on the VH1 reality show. After her first appearance on the hit show and meeting her cast members, she admitted things went left when Williams and Carter took her comments and questions negatively.

"I think it has a lot to do with what I said about her [Fiance], but I didn't say anything bad about her [Fiance]. I think it's the way it was edited or the way she heard it- you know it was one thing." Maxiell explained about her beef regarding Williams, "I'm really, really blessed and my husband is blessed to be in this league, and very fortunate to be in the league this long, and I was just touching base with her about the things she was saying about her husband or her fiancé, is the same thing about me, and that's all -kind of uplift her in a way. But I wasn't trying to be malicious or anything like that. She just took it personal."

Personal questions just seemed to bounce off the women in the heated confrontation and Maxiell explained that when she was asked about Carter's scandal with her daughter she was purely concerned after reading an article.

"When we went through finding out who's on the cast. Who we're gonna meet. I actually hung up with one of the producers and got off the phone and in a blink of an eye; I saw an article about her. I was like 'Oh My God! This is the girl that's gonna be on the show.'" She admitted, "When I asked her the question, I wanted to know if her daughter was OK. I didn't want to make her look bad or anything like that because when I read the article; I was like 'there's no way a mother would ever do this. This is a complete lie.'" She added, "I was concerned. I wasn't trying to be nasty or rude or disrespectful."

The reality star didn't confirm nor deny getting back on good terms with Williams or Carter and stated that the generic PR statement: "You got to keep watching!" However, she did dish that she is not friends with co-star, Jackie Christie.

"No, I'm not friends with Jackie. It's weird because when the world is watching this show for the first time, so are we. To be honest, I could care less about any of the other ladies. I'm very shocked at how it played out when they were filming among themselves or together." She continued, "I'm really shocked at the things that came out of their mouths -as to when we were filming together or behind closed doors- before the camera went up. I'm really, really shocked."

In addition to reality TV bitter beefs, Maxiell stated that her initial and only plan on the show was to spread word about ovarian cancer and fertility issues that may come along with it. In 2007, at the age of 24, Maxiell was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and after beating the battle; doctors told her that she would have a hard time conceiving a child.

Fortunately, in 2011, the couple welcomed their son, Jason II, but now the couple is trying for baby number two, and the determined reality star is saying no to adoption in hopes to go through another pregnancy.

"Adopting is kind of- not a slap in the face- but heartbreaking for me to hear those words. I remember before my son was born and they said it was not going to work for me and I should start thinking about adopting. I don't want that in my vocabulary." She said, "I don't want to think that because I want to be able to feel that I can have my own. You know, but if worse comes to worse and I can't do it then, I can't say it could be a possibility, but I just don't want to think about that."

"I wanted to share my story. I wanted to bring awareness to ovarian cancer. I wanted to talk about my story with fertility. I think VH1 did a good job with telling my story. But, at the end of the day, if I can help anyone, that would make me happy. That's my ultimate job. I to be relateable to the public, and I think I'm doing a good job at that so far."
