MStars has learned that The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice want to serve their jail sentences separately so that one parent can raise their 4 daughters while the other is locked away in a prison cell.

The attorney for the couple, Miles Feinstein reveals that the reality tv stars are planning to ask the judge to grant their wishes and "serve them consecutively rather than concurrently," for the sake of their kids.

The Giudice's have 4 daughters, Gia, 13; Gabriella, 11; Milania, 9; and Audriana, 5, many wonder who will help raise the girls while their parents are in jail.

Teresa and Joe Giudice will be sentenced on July 8. Teresa will be serving at least 21 to 27 months in prison, and her husband Joe, 46. Each plead guilty Tuesday to money fraud charges, Teresa to four counts, and her husband Joe, five.

Their attorney is confident that the judge will allow their request, he claims the judge has done this similar request in the past.

Feinstein also said, although they have to serve time, this was the best outcome. The reality stars are lucky because they were originally indicted on 41 criminal counts, and Feinstein mentions that could me up to 100+ years behind bars, instead of what the Giudice's received.

Do you think the couple were treated lightly because they are on a reality tv show, or did they get what they deserved ?
