MTV Real World: Ex-Plosion Episode 8 Review
Last week, Brian made the mistake of kissing another girl while out on Boy's Night. All the guys of the house know what he did, but no one is leaking the information to Jenny.
Jay continues to talk about "titles" and how Jenna should leave so he can pick up other girls. He doesn't say this to her face, but every chance he gets he reveals his secret motives.
Haileytries to get Tom jealous by hitting on other guys. However, it is obvious she wants to manipulate/mess with him but she kind of has a friendship blossoming with Jamie.
Who knows how this saga will end?!
Brian, knowing he must reveal what he did at Boy's Night before the show airs, waited to get Jenny in a public space so that he can confess his sins to her without getting a K.O. smack to the face.
Smart move, Brian.
To lighten the mood when they get back home, Brian wants to do a joint confessional. "I messed up, but I didn't try to intentionally hurt you," he said.
"You have just lit the flames of hell and I feel sorry for you," Jenny responded.
He "forgave" her for sleeping with Cory, however he happens to forget that he told Jenny that HE was seeing someone else and that she could go off on her own when she called him during the first week.
Jamie played wing-woman for Hailey when the group goes out again. Jamie sets Hailey up with a German grad student, a brilliant move for Jamie. Getting Tom as far away from Hailey as possible is a good idea in theory, but Tom just gets jealous...
Who knows how this saga will end?!
Cory then made his own bold move and tried to block Jenny from talking to the same German guy, which some might think is a bro-code move in Brian's favor but it might also be his own jealousy coming out.
Jenny made her OWN bold move and avoided the crew in order to hook up with the German guy. She succeeded in her mission and then successfully got Brian jealous.
When the crew gets home, Arielle and Ashley ordered some pizza. The two went to great lengths describing and negociating with the pizza parlor. When their mission is completed, you could see their faces glow. While they wait for the delivery, all hell breaks loose.
"When we're faithful, I give you everything that I have," said Jenny. "You take that and you spit on it."
Meanwhile, Jay bragged in another room about how him and Jenna have a great relationship. This lead to an intervention brought on by Jamie. "Why won't you tell her you love her?" Jamie demanded. "She loves you."
"Seriously?" Jay responded. In the confessional, he explained it a bit better, "I don't need this sh**."
Meanwhile, Cory tried to solidify his bromace with Brian by saying, "You're better than that."
"You were my friend," she said to Cory. "I don't know whose team you're on, but that's F***** up."
Meanwhile, the pizza delivery man showed up and Arielle and Ashley couldn't be happier.
Meanwhile, Cory told Brian that Jenny had hooked up with other men and then everything hit the fan. Brian accuses Jenny of sleeping around and she was not having her name slandered. She slapped him across his face with an open-hand hit. A Brian/Jenny brawl breaks out, Jenny round-house kicks Brian, and then Real World security and Arielle had to step in.
Meanwhile, Jay is outraged that Jenna would even listen to Jamie. "2.5 years is down the drain," Jay said. Kind of like he cared, but not really because he throws insults at her because she let Jamie speak up for her. "Now she's sleeping with Tom and where are you?"
Meanwhile, Brian freaked out at Jenny for talking to Cory and declared that the past five years were a waste with Jenny. Arielle had to officially abandon her pizza to help separate Jenny and Brian.
No word about the pizza is said after the dust settled in the Real World house.
A tragic episode.
Next week, it appears that Hailey goes in for the jugular with Tom... AND Jenna gets to read through Jay's dirty emails...
