One Direction's Liam Payne reveals shyness and nervousness when hanging out with model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Last year One Direction posed for a fun photo shoot with 26-year-old model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley for Glamour magazine, but the boys are still being asked questions about the experience. Considering the model's sheer beauty, interviews tend to lean towards questions about hanging out with Whiteley. In a new interview, Liam Payne spoke about being incredibly nervous around the model, explaining he hoped that he wouldn't have any alone time with her.

"Oh. My. God. I did not know what to say to that woman," Payne revealed. "I tried to make sure I was never left alone with her because that would have meant having to talk to her."

But Liam didn't get his wish in this instance. Payne found himself in a one-on-one with the girlfriend of Jason Statham during the photoshoot, which was a bit too much for his nerves.

"There was this one moment where it was just me and her and I was like: 'Oh, crap'," the 20-year-old singer told Fabulous Magazine. "She asked where I was from and I went: 'Um... Wolverhampton,' and then couldn't think of anything else to say. So I ended up standing there like a lemon."

Despite this awkward interaction with the model, Payne is more composed in a recording studio setting. The One Direction singer is hoping to expand on his songwriting career outside of his pop band, recently being linked to girl group Neon Jungle.
