Toni Kroos discusses Manchester United move

It's been made clear that David Moyes' Manchester United is in dire need of four or five key signings this summer. The club and Moyes himself have said they will be very active this summer, and on their poor showing this season they evidently need all of the help they can get.

In January 2014 United welcomed superstar signing Juan Mata, and it came to light that the club was keen on bringing Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos to Old Trafford. The deal didn't happen, but ahead of Kroos' team facing opponents Arsenal, he has admitted he would welcome a move to the Premier League. When asked if the Champions League was essential, he didn't say so, leaving Manchester United with a possibility of landing the German star.

The German international is rated as one of the best players in the world, and Bayern is desperate to keep him. Kroos appeared unhappy and by entertaining the idea of transfer talks it seems he's ready to move. The midfielder has yet to agree to a new contract with the Bundesliga champions, leaving him an easier target than many of his world class competitors.

Although it would take a bid of near $50 million to land his services, United will be prepared to pay that amount. Bayern will then have no choice but to reluctantly accept the bid if he is as reported, unhappy at the club. Can United land Kroos, and how much would he improve their sinking ship?
