It's a sad day for the TLC network. MStar has learned that the Little People Big World couple have split. According to Radar Online, Amy and Matt Roloff have entered into a trial separation, and are living apart.
Amy Roloff says that her husband's decision to move out was not her choice. After being married for 26 years, the TLC reality stars are getting some space. Matt finally made the decision to get some space and move out to another house on their farm and property.
"Amy and I are separated," Matt said. "Last year it was long, long and tough. Amy and I had a lot of tensions. Right around Thanksgiving I moved over to the bridal house for a little bit, we'll try that. Amy and I stuck it out for years when maybe we shouldn't have."
If you were a fan of the show, you could see that the couple weren't always happy, Matt talks about the steps he took to save his marriage.
"I never quite felt quite at home in my own home. Something needed to change, we needed to trying something differ," so he chose a "trial separation," which was not the choice Amy Roloff had in mind.
"I think what Matt and I failed to do over many many years was learn to live together," Amy said.
"It is not my choice for him to leave. I am saddened by it. it's been 26 years. We don't have a plan as to how we're going to work this out. It's not going to be easy."
