Tina Fey axes 'Mean Girls' sequel rumors

Tina Fey has put the kibosh on any future rumors of a Mean Girls sequel.

(If you mention the straight-to-DVD heresy that was Mean Girls 2,I'll stick my fingers in my ears and shout until you leave.)

Via HuffPo:

Extra TV caught up with Tina Fey, who wrote the beloved movie and acted as co-star opposite Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdams, and asked her to set the record straight on the rumors of a possible sequel. "We're coming up next month on the 10-year anniversary of the original movie," Fey said, referring to when the movie's release date of April 30, 2004. "I can't believe it either. We're going to see if there's any way to get everyone together, but not a movie, sadly. We're all past high school age."

Boo! We suspended our age-based disbelief for 10 years of 90210, surely we can cast it aside in the name of the best sequel ever?

Of course, if we want a Tina Fey fix, there's no shortage of places to get it. She will appear as a villain in the upcoming movie Muppets Most Wanted and just dropped by Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.
