It's official - Lil Wayne's retiring.

According to the Young Money rapper, this year's highly-anticipated new album The Carter V will be his last. Weezy recently confirmed the news to MTV:

"I personally plan on this being my final solo album, yes and it's definitely the final Carter album... It's the final Carter album. It's stopping at five" (March 12).

So it looks like no more solo albums for the "Lollipop" crooner (for now). At least not until the big money starts rolling in.

"25 to 35 million would get me to do another solo album after this."

Fans better start contributing to the rap cause now.

But that doesn't mean Weezy's saying goodbye to music for good - he still plans on supporting his fellow YMCMB crew:

"Whenever I have to pitch in for a Young Money album, a Like Father, Like Son album and something like that and maybe something out the blue."

And fan's won't be disappointed with Wayne's sixteenth studio album. "It seems like it will be impossible for me to work this hard again for anything else."

Time to end his solo career with a bang.

The Carter V is scheduled to hit stores on May 5, 2014, but that official release date still might change.
