'Sing-Off' champions Pentatonix cover Beyonce's entire new album in six-minute medley

In 2014, Beyonce is the closest thing we have to a monoculture. King B transcends all boundaries of taste and class (unless you're Bill O'Reilly). Her latest self-titled album gets dissected by grandmas and danced along to by Vanessa Hudgens and Cheryl Cole. So, it should come as no surprise that Sing-Off winners Pentatonix decided to cover it.

Actually, that is a bit unexpected. The acapella group shrunk to the duo of Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying and compressed the entire album into a six-minute medley. Check it out below:

Covers of this nature tend to reek of overdone theater-kid camp - the thought of that month where Karmin rose to fame on a wave of "Look At Me Now" Facebook shares still turns my stomach -  but the Pentatonix members avoid the usual pitfalls and deliver a stunning piece that lives up to the work of Bey.
