Arsenal grab 1-0 victory over North London rivals Tottenham
Arsenal and Tottenham were both out of form, and desperate to for a win, so it was perfect to face one another today, sadly there could only be one winner. Arsenal are trying to win the Premier League, whilst Tottenham are hoping to get a top four place. Tomas Rosicky fired an early goal to give Arsenal the 1-0 win.
Although Tim Sherwood looks a certainty to leave Tottenham in the near future, his men did show spirit after going behind. It was a dreadful start as Rosicky hit the ball fiercely from a tight angle, and it fired in to the net at an unstoppable pace. Tottenham slowly played their way in to contention, and at times they look destined to grab a goal to level the score, but it never came. The closest they came was from chances from Emmanuel Adebayor and Nacer Chadli, but the win has fired Arsenal to four points behind first place.
Arsenal face Chelsea next week, and they know that game will make or break their Premier League title hopes. Arsenal were without Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere, and their players were a credit to the club, showing the hard work needed to win games, and titles. Arsenal lacked creativity, but then again that was always going to be the case without star players such as Ozil and Wilshere, but the determination on show is something they've often been labelled as not having.
What can Tottenham do to fix their problems, or are they still missing their former superstar Gareth Bale, who they sold to Real Madrid last summer and spent in erratic fashion trying to replace.
