50 Cent's level 6 bulletproof car saved the rapper from flipping over, he shared with MTV news.  Having been shot nine times in 2000, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, travels in such a highly secured vehicle for safety.

The recent car accident that the MC was involved in thankfully didn't cause any serious casualties.

"We were just riding down the LIE and a Mack Truck - he said he lost control of the vehicle later to police officers because his load shifted," Jackson told MTV. "He tried to brake, his load shifted, and he lost control and he ran into the back of the truck. It did more damage to the Mack Truck than it did to my truck, 'cause I got a level six; it's a bulletproof vehicle. It's the same standard as what they're moving Obama around in."

After the accident, images of the Jackson on a stretcher with a neck brace were posted on his This Is 50 website.  However, he affirmed that both he and his driver are okay and have suffered only minor injuries.

Some critics have accused him of using the accident for publicity, however the hip hop star defended himself saying, "Trust me, I have enough money to not hit myself with a Mack Truck to try to get a few dollars."

"What's the thought process on this? It makes no sense to me," he added.

50 Cent is now prepping for his release of his new album Five (Murder by Numbers), which releases tomorrow (July 3).
