NeNe Leakes gets emotional first night on 'Dancing with the Stars,' judges and audience give 'RHOA' starlet high scores

NeNe Leakes is proving to the world, she has dance skills. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star made her debut on Dancing with the Stars Monday night and did not disappoint.

The 18th season of the hit ABC show kicked off with a huge bang, as NeNe get the dance floor rolling to the cha-cha-cha with her partner, Tony Dovolani.

Leakes became emotional after she performed, as the judges and the audience applauded her dance moves.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said, "Half of dancing is about your personality," and if you are a fan of the reality star you know she has a lot of it.

Leakes has rhythm thanks to working in the strip club in her younger days, but the star also has high energy.

The dancer wore a creamed colored mini dress, and pearls around her pinned up hair, as she danced the night away to Robin Thicke's song, "Give It 2 U."

Leakes posted to Instagram thanking all her supporters, as she posed for the camera with her dancing partner.

"Thanks 2 all of u 4 supporting us! I really appreciate it! I gotta Thank my amazing partner @tonydovolani I just love him! Here we r Right after our dance & he was still smiling! We r doing my husbands favorite dance (not mine) The Jive"

The actress also says that she has lost 7lbs so far. Press right after #DWTS my toes hurt & I already lost 7lbs. My goal is 20lbs let's go @tonydovolani"
