Is 'Titanfall 2' coming to PlayStation 4?

Titanfall is one of the biggest successes in the world of gaming for 2014 and has even helped sell Xbox One's in the process. This Microsoft exclusive game has PlayStation gamers sulking, but a new rumor is making the rounds claiming Titanfall 2 could come to the console!

In order to make sure Titanfall was an Xbox exclusive, Microsoft shelled out a lot of money to Electronic Arts. The company's CFO, Blake Jorgensen admitted recently that this partnership simply made sense as a business decision for EA and Microsoft, though that isn't the case for the future.

Gamespot reports:

The option to land Titanfall 2 was based on the performance of the original, our source said. Terms of EA's agreement to publish Titanfall 2 are not clear, so we don't know yet if PlayStation and/or Nintendo fans will get a crack at the rumored next game in the series.

When asked about this possibility, a spokesperson for EA this week said: "We do not comment on rumor or speculation. Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall."

But speaking at the UBS Global Technology Conference last year, Jorgensen entertained the possibility of a second Titanfall being available on the other platform.

"I'm sure that there will be future Titanfalls at some point that may be on multiple product platforms. [I] don't know, that's up to the teams that are going through that now," Jorgensen said. "But at the end of the day, we're excited about this Titanfall and we think it will be a big title and it will be great for Xbox One."
