March Madness Upset: Andrew Wiggins' Kansas eliminated by Stanford

Andrew Wiggins is widely tipped to be a top two pick in the 2014 NBA draft, and with Jabari Parker's Duke slipping up in the first round, he was determined to go one better, and indeed he did, but that's as far as it goes for Wiggins and his team. Standing in Kansas' way was Stanford, who ensured Wiggins tournament came to an early end with their 60-57 victory.

The Kansas Jayhawks were hoping to progress far in to March Madness, but struggled, and never looked fit enough to compete with some of their rivals. Kansas had an okay first half, but the game slowly slipped away during the second half, who evidently missed their center Joel Embiid, who's also widely tipped to be drafted with one of the first few picks.

It's clear both Parker and Wiggins will be solid NBA players, but they've both shown concerning levels of play when it really mattered. Wiggins had four points, which was not enough to help his team, nor his draft stock.

Stefan Nastic, after the game, said "You try to stay as calm as you can," and he then discussed the toughness of Kansas, saying "You try to see the game. If you start getting as frantic as the defense, you're playing to their style. We tried not to do that. We tried to stay composed and just play our game."

How far can Stanford go? Will this upset hurt Andrew Wiggins' NBA draft stock, or will he still be considered a worthy pick for number one?
