Manchester United set for sensational summer raid on transfer talents
Manchester United have had a torrid season full of struggles, but lately things have started to improve for the Red Devils. It's common knowledge that they're going to launch themselves in to a transfer frenzy this season, in a desperate attempt to rebuild and 'fix' their weakened squad. David Moyes has insisted they will bring in top quality in the summer, and with Juan Mata recently joining, there's reasons to believe he's telling the truth, but who will United look to sign?
Reports this weekend are suggesting Manchester United are close to deals for Sporting Lisbon's defensive midfielder, William Carvalho, who is highly regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the world. The youngster would be an instant upgrade, although he may come at a cost with the price being reported as in the region of $50 million.
Elsewhere United have been linked with Seamus Coleman, Toni Kroos, Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Fabio Coentrao. With United looking to spend a record breaking amount in transfer fees, this could be a shocking summer, which sees all of these stars, and several others join the Red Devils.
It's believed that Bayern Munich, their Champions League quarter-final opponents, Toni Kroos is their top target. The player himself has refused to sign a new contract with the German club and has insisted he would like to play in the Premier League, with United seeming a definite possibility for the German star.
Which players should Manchester United pursue, and can they amount a title challenge once again next season?
