Kevin Hart Tells Oprah about how he persevered while struggling as a comic [VIDEO]

Kevin Hart appeared on Oprah Prime last night and discussed the sage advice his mother gave him when he decided to pursue a career as a comedian.

Hart went on to tell Oprah, "I haven't paid my rent in like a month," he tells Oprah in the above video. "I'm like, 'Mom, the rent. Where's the rent at?" Hart says his mother responded with: "Have you been reading your Bible?....He hadn't. A week goes by, then another. Again, Hart asks his mother for rent money. Again, the same response. "Have you read your Bible?.....Another month goes by, and Hart shows his mom the eviction notice put on his door. "She said, 'Talk to me when you read your Bible,'" he says.
