WATCH: 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' 2014 movie trailer with Megan Fox [VIDEO]

The first movie trailer for the Michael Bay-produced reboot of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has debuted and this new take on the iconic characters is looking pretty incredible. It also doesn't hurt that Megan Fox is starring as April O'Neil!

This our first real look at the updated take on Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. We saw some action figures a few months back, but actually seeing them fighting (and joking) definitely has us in high anticipation for the film from director Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans, Battle Los Angeles).

Here is a synopsis for this new take on the iconic franchise:

The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder's diabolical plan.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles hits theaters August 8. This movie also stars Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Whoopi Goldberg.
