Arrow Season 2 Spoilers: Marc Guggenheim previews Slade Wilson's episode
Fans are still digesting this week's episode of Arrow, but eyes now turn toward next week's installment entitled "Deathstroke." Executive producer Marc Guggenheim spoke to TVLine in the wake of Wednesday's episode and told fans what to expect next week.
Firstly, he said Thea is in grave danger now that she has crossed paths with Slade.
"And the sword of Damocles that's being held over her in [next week's episode] is a double-edged sword - it's both physical and emotional - and I can guarantee that by the end of [Episode] 18, one of those edges is going to cut her." He added Thea would learn "something pretty massive" next week that "will cause a tectonic shift in her relationship with Oliver."
Guggenheim also assured fans that Slade and Oliver will have "a series of showdowns" and that a stunning one will take place next week.
"The way that it unfolds is very unexpected," he said. "This whole season has, basically, been about Oliver versus Slade, with a lot of other elements orbiting it. So I don't think it will be a surprise to say that the conclusion of their story won't happen until the final episode of the season." He added the show would save the best fight for last.
Guggenheim said the writers "definitely have an idea for a Season 3 episode with The Huntress." He noted her return was a "chance to articulate how far Oliver has come in his evolution."
