Manchester United come from behind to thrash Aston Villa
Manchester Untied have had a lot of negatives to endure this season, and lately things appeared to be turning around, only for a massive fall in form to return. With Aston Villa taking an early lead, you'd find it hard to believe any fans had any faith remaining, but a stunning comeback ensured Manchester United had one of their better results during David Moyes' time as manager, beating Villa 4-1.
With Bayern Munich approaching you'd expect United to have one eye focused on that game, but they were equally prepared for Villa, and goals from Juan Mata, Javier Hernandez and a double from Wayne Rooney fired the Red Devils to a much needed victory. Rooney continued his impressive form, and they will need it to stay that way if they're to survive without Robin Van Persie.
Juan Mata's opening goal was a huge talking point as the attacking midfielder has been a revelation since his move from Premier League rivals Chelsea, but fans were patiently awaiting his first goal for the club. Now Mata's scored his first many believe he will continue to improve and add more goals to his new United team.
Although this performance wasn't perfect, it was reminiscent of the United of old, a team capable of coming from behind to win, and one capable of winning by a comfortable scoreline, even when they're not at their best.
Next up for United is Bayern Munich. Whilst their 4-1 win was a huge boost, one can wonder will it be enough to prepare themselves for the challenge of facing the reigning UEFA Champions League winners?
