Willie Nelson Plans To Become Resident in Netherlands In Order to Buy Weed Legally

Willie Nelson is willing to purchase or rent a home in the Netherlands in order to purchase Marijuana legally.  Amsterdam is known for their lenient policy related with narcotics however a new policy is coming to town preventing non-residents from smuggling drugs.  Nelson will not be able to stock up unless he becomes a resident.

This new policy may create some friction for businesses that cater to tourists.  

Nelson said to Mojo magazine, "That's too bad. But maybe the local businesses will raise enough hell to keep that from happening."

One way to beat the law is to rent or purchase property to be considered a legal resident.  The singer plans to do exactly that - become a resident in order to get his hands on some pot legally.

"I'll just rent me an apartment when I go over there so I'll be a resident. Or if I have to, I'll buy a place," he said.
