Ultra Music Festival talks return in 2015 in spite of Miami's objections

There's no question: Miami wants the Ultra Music Festival gone. After a weekend that included one death, a large number of arrests and the trampling of a security guard, several Miami officials (including mayor Tomas Regalato) want the annual EDM bash to pack it up. However, organizers of the fetival have assured fans that they will be back in 2015.

That's not to say Ultra is acting oblivious. According to Pitchfork, the organizers released a statement promising to conduct a thorough investigation into how they can make the event safer next year.

Consistent with our commitment to improve every year, ULTRA is conducting a top to bottom review of security procedures and measures to assess where we can add even more security for the event next year.  This review will include an assessment with the Miami Police Department of how security can be enhanced immediately outside our gates to prevent a criminal incident of this nature from happening again.
