James Franco admits he hit on 17-year-old teenage Instagram fan Lucy Clode because 'Social Media is tricky' on 'Live with Kelly and Michael' [VIDEO]
While we're not exactly sure if James Franco's questionable actions this week were plain creepy or a way to promote his new film Palo Alto, he caused quite a stir when he allegedly hit on a 17-year-old fan named Lucy Clode through Instagram. Today (April 4, 2014) he appeared on Live with Kelly and Michael to address this scandal, admitting used "bad judgment" in the situation.
In the following clip, host Michael Strahan opens up the floor to Franco who asked to address the controversial topic during his time on the show. He realized that the media was all over the story so he wanted to clear the air, admitting he would have felt awkward being on live television without talking about it.
"I guess I'm, you know, embarrassed, and I guess I'm just a model of how social media is tricky," the 35-year-old This is the End actor said. "I used bad judgment and I learned my lesson."
"Unfortunately in my position - I mean I have a very good life - not only do I have to go through the embarrassing kind of rituals of meeting someone, but sometimes if I do that it gets published for the world. So now it's like double embarrassing"
