Will Chelsea give Romelu Lukaku the chance he deserves?
Chelsea are currently struggling and their lack of a top striker will seemingly cost them the UEFA Champions League and Premier League titles they crave. Surprisingly, whilst they moan about their lack of a top striker, they actually have one who appears to be better than the rest. Romelu Lukaku is a Chelsea player, currently on loan at Everton, and he looks set to help Everton qualify for European competition next season, so why won't Chelsea give him a chance?
The young striker is big, strong and everything a team wants in a striker, reminding fans of Chelsea's former hero, Didier Drogba, who they are still looking to effectively replace. For whatever reason Jose Mourinho appears reluctant to give Romelu a chance at Chelsea, and although he's good enough to come back and take a Chelsea jersey this summer, rumours suggest Jose will sell the Belgian international, rather than give him a chance.
Chelsea are currently persisting with expensive flop Fernando Torress, veteran Samuel Eto'o and the ineffective Demba Ba, yet it seems like he will keep one of them next season, and bring in other players to help ease their attacking problems. He could save the club money by including Romelu, but that would involve Jose admitting he's wrong, something he's evidently not prepared to do.
If Romelu is sold, where will he go? Does Jose see something the world doesn't? He may be correct, but it baffles fans across the world. Surely if Romelu can score for fun at Everton, he would score even more at Stamford Bridge, right?
