Season 3 of Homeland ended in controversial fashion, but the show will return regardless for Season 4, which will see Carrie (Claire Danes) getting back to her CIA roots. Showrunner and executive producer Alex Gansa has revealed in a statement that the show will film in Cape Town, South Africa.

"We've been so lucky to work with one of the best crews in the business for the last three seasons in Charlotte," Gansa said in a statement. "We knew going into season four that we would need to move the production overseas to tell the story of Carrie returning to the Middle East as chief of station. We are thrilled to have found a new home in Cape Town and look forward to getting season four production off the ground."

According to E! Online, Carrie will spend the new season in a "volatile and dangerous CIA station in the Middle East" and that she's "back on the front lines in the war on terror after the events of the first three seasons."

Mandy Patinkin will return as Saul Berenson, while Rupert Friend and Nazanin Boniadi will also come back for Season 4. Damian Lewis, of course, will not be back as fan favorite Nicholas Brody, who died in the Season 3 finale.

The series will start production in June and will shoot through November; the Season 4 premiere will air this fall on Showtime.
