It's been a long battle for the NCAA basketball teams during the season, and much the same came during March Madness, but it's finally over, and it couldn't of been any more dramatic. Kentucky's fine freshmen have been a dominant force, showing that youth can trump experience, but sadly this was as far as they could go, with the Connecticut Huskies grabbing the 60-54 victory.

Niels Giffey celebrated, but had words for his opponents and their youth, meaning no disrespect, he explained "I hope they learn a lesson from that. It could really work well if you stay in a program for four years." Whilst it's Giffey and the Huskies that take the instant glory, Kentucky will be confident in their style, their players and their coaching, and they wouldn't of dreamed a season like this would happen in a million years, but it did, and they won't let anybody forget about it.

Shabazz Napier explained some of his views after their victory. He said he knew in mid-January that his team mates would lift the trophy at the end of he season. He confidently told everyone "What did I tell y'all when we lost against Louisville at home," The players celebrated in the locker room, and the sheer joy was all over everyone connected with the Connecticut Huskies.

Did anybody, other than Napier, predict the Huskies to win it all? Can any of these Kentucky and Connecticut players make the step up to the NBA, or will this be as good as it gets for them?
