Selena Gomez's stalker Che Cruz charged after two attempted break ins
Two weeks ago, a young man named Che Cruz broke into Selena Gomez's guesthouse, waited a while, and then knocked on her front door asking for her. He was arrested. After spending a week in jail, he did it again within hours of his release. This week he was charged with felony stalking and violating a court order to stay away from Justin Bieber's ex-girlfriend, according to Billboard.
The music publication website reported:
Che Cruz, 20, pleaded not guilty to the charges Monday afternoon, and his bail was set at $160,000. He was arrested Friday after he returned to Gomez's home just hours after he was released from jail in a case in which he was ordered to stay away from her. The Los Angeles district attorney's office said Cruz jumped the fence at Gomez's home before his second arrest. If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison. He is due back in court April 17.
When she's not trying to avoid weird trespassers, Gomez is dodging engagement rumors surrounding herself and Justin Bieber. A new ring pictured on Selena's hand has sent the tabloids into a frenzy but sources say we shouldn't expect wedding bells any time soon.
"They are not engaged nor are they getting engaged anytime soon. It was nothing more than a fashion choice," a source close to Justin said.
"The ring was a gift from Justin," another insider said. "It's not an engagement ring, but they are back on and very serious."
We hope that Selena doesn't have to deal with any more random break-ins any time soon. As for the engagement rumors, we'll just let the two lovebirds figure that out on their own.
