‘House of Cards’ Flips Middle Finger Right At ‘Game of Thrones’
In House of Cards, the power hungry Congressman Frank Underwood schemes the demise of others as he plots his way to the top in Washington. Underwood has other sights in mind besides Washington, including the Iron Throne.
From the official House of Cards Twitter, a new photo has been released with Kevin Spacey as Frank Underwood. Dressed in black, Spacey is sitting on the Iron Throne. In the Game of Thrones mythology, the Iron Throne is made of swords and represents the seven kingdoms of Westeros. Each House of the seven wants to sit on the iron chair and dominate as commanding ruler.
Welcome back, @GameofThrones. May the best House win. #FU pic.twitter.com/khW0Hg3MXK

In the photo, Underwood sits on the Iron Throne, taunting in his calm demeanor, "May the best House win." The Twitter message then ends with the hastag #FU. The hastag could symbolize Underwood's initials, but it could also symbolize an explicit message to the fantasy series.
As mentioned here, the Game of Thrones series has been renewed for seasons five and six. Can HBO's Game of Thrones continue to hold its own against Netflix's House of Cards?
Who says actor Kevin Spacey doesn't have a sense of humor? House of Cards and Game of Thrones are neck-to-neck in battle for the best drama on television. I definitely want to hear what Walter White (Breaking Bad) has to say about this.
