Maroon 5's album Overexposed is still heating up the summer, but the band is already talking about their next album.

Guitarist James Valentine told Billboard.com, ""I think we're more focused than we've ever been, and all we really are interested in doing now is working on music."

The normal routine most bands take is to record an album, tour and then work on their next album.  Valentine exposed that fans can expect to hear more new music sooner than they think.

"Usually we'd be on tour and have fun and come back home and use that time to make a record. Now I think we're just at a point where we feel like there's more music in us than that. I always have my laptop with my recording interface, and there's usually always a few things I'm working on at any given point. So, yeah, we're working on a lot of stuff. I think the next recording's going to be ready a lot sooner than our previous records," Valentine continued.

Keyboardist Jesse Carmichael is taking a break from the band but is expected to join the band for their next album.

The band's Overexposed tour will begin on July 21 in the U.S. and will head overseas in the fall.
