Cristiano Ronaldo loses his mind watching Real Madrid progress without him

Cristiano Ronaldo is used to being the center of attention, and he's used to being the difference maker, so it appeared he was out of his depth watching his Real Madrid team take on Borussia Dortmund, instead of playing for them. Madrid had a 3-0 lead going in to the second leg and therefore left Ronaldo on the substitute bench, trying to let him rest, however, it nearly backfired as Dortmund won 2-0 on the night and almost brought themselves back in to contention. How did Ronaldo find his time on the touchline?

Throughout the game watching Ronaldo's reactions was reminiscent of watching some of the games greatest managers, like Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho, but then again he's played under both of them, and he's evidently learned a thing or two. He was often seen yelling, making hand gestures and celebrating during the match, and it seems being on the sideline made him a little uncomfortable.

Perhaps when he retires from soccer he would make a good manager, however, one thing is fundamentally clear, he does not want to spend even one game on the sidelines, as his evident frustration revealed. At one point in the game Dortmund were attacking constantly and Ronaldo looked like a lost soul, hanging on to the dug-out for dear life, and whenever the chance arrived, he was shouting instructions to his team mates.

However, that appears to of been a smart move as Ronaldo will now be rested and ready to play in Real Madrid's remaining games, which will be vital for both their pursuit of the La Liga and Champions League titles.
