Katy Perry Bakes a Cake in Lyric Video for New Single 'Birthday' [VIDEO]

Today everyone is getting a sweet little birthday treat.

Katy Perry has just released the lyrics video for new single "Birthday" off of her Prism album and it is making us all hunger!!

The video features the yummiest looking cakes I have ever seen in my life. The sweet treats would send even the healthiest person into a diabetic coma. I personally want the one that looks like a kitty for my birthday; so make a note of that people.

This might just be one of the most ambitious lyrics videos that we have recently seen. Most of the lyrics are written out in frosting but the cakes, cupcakes, and treats look like they are something right out of an episode of Cake Boss.

Katy is always very forward thinking when it comes to her lyric videos. Her lyric video for "Roar" featured the whole song being typed out through texts in emojis.

This lyrics video gets us even more excited to see what Perry is preparing and cooking up as the official video for this song. The lyrics video is very reminiscent of her Candyland themed California Gurls video, so we are expecting something along the lines of that.

Some of the extravagant cakes include cakes in the shapes of a Rubik's Cube, a suit and tie, a hamburger, and even a Hello Kitty one. The end features Katy looking exhausted in the kitchen after having just slaved away baking all the eye candy goodness.

Katy, who got to taste some of the cakes during filming at the L.A's Duffs Cakemix on Melrose Avenue told E! News "Ahh, I have to stop with all of these sweets, I'm going on tour."

Her Prismatic world tour will kick off this May in Ireland.
