Chelsea's Demba Ba keeps them in Premier League title contention with 1-0 win over Chelsea
Not so long ago Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho suggested that Chelsea lack a proper forward. Demba Ba is doing his best to suggest otherwise. Days after his Champions League quarter-final winning goal, he fired the only goal of the game to keep Chelsea's Premier League title hopes alive, albeit only a small chance remains.
Chelsea are smiling still, knowing their chance of a double remains, but they must win every game, to give themselves a chance and avoid losing the much needed momentum. Although Chelsea aren't playing well, they're scraping through each battle, which is what true champions are made of.
With Chelsea beating Swansea 1-0, it was easy to see why Swansea manager Gary Monk wasn't in the best of moods. He explained "Four games left, it's not a position we want to be in, but we're not chasing, we've got it in our own hands. We need to do something in the next game." Can Swansea stay up, or will they crumble with so little time remaining?
Chelsea will look to battle to the very end, and in the summer when they finally sign a proper striker, then other teams should beware. For now Demba Ba and his fellow forwards will look to prove they can fire Chelsea to glory.
It's clear Jose has made an impact on his return to the Chelsea dugout, but can he send his team to glory in the first season, or will it be a positive step in their plans to dominate the footballing world?
