They are hitting at a decent .254 clip as a team, but they have managed just 19 runs scored through their first six games. Third baseman Will Middlebrooks (strained calf) and right fielder Shane Victorino (strained hamstring) are both currently on the DL, as the offense is not yet firing on all cylinders."

"Losing a series to the Astros and an early DL trip for Mark Teixeira drops the New York Yankees down a few spots despite a .500 start to the season. They have seven games against division foes this coming week, and it will be interesting to see where this team stands next Monday.

Sluggers Alfonso Soriano (.053 BA) and Carlos Beltran (.158 BA) have scuffled, while Yangervis Solarte (.471 BA) continues to be the out-of-nowhere story of 2014. On the pitching side of things, CC Sabathia (7.50 ERA) looked a little better in his second start to pick up the win, but he's still far from the pitcher he once was."
