MTV Movie Awards Pays Tribute to the Late Paul Walker [Video]
The MTV Movie Awards took time out from presenting award to pay tribute the late actor Paul Walker during its broadcast on Sunday night.
Jordana Brewster, longtime friend of Walker's, and co-star of The Fast and the Furious movies gave a brief speech about Walker before introduced a montage of clips to honor Paul's life and career.
In Brewster's speech she says, "I was lucky enough to work with him over the last fifteen years and witness the generosity of his heart every day I was with him. He was humble, and he thought about other, whether you knew Paul for 5 minutes or as a close friend he made you feel like the most important person in the world."
Brewster goes on to say that, "for Paul everyday was an adventure to be tackled and he wanted to make a difference in this world. Paul's kindness was pure. He never asked for credit or glory. He was just really good guy."
Set to the song "Stars" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnal, the clip shows an array of Walker's films including The Fast and the Furious franchise, Into the Blue, Eight Below, Varsity Blues, and Pleasantville. Also included in the video are Paul's philanthropic efforts with his organization Reach Out Worldwide.
Walker passed away last November when he was killed in a car accident. He was riding in the passenger's seat when the driver Roger Rodas, a friend of Walkers crashed into a light post. Both were killed in the car wreck.
Brewster concludes the speech by saying, "his charm, wit, spirit and his beautiful smile will live on because he will always be in our hearts and he will remain an inspiration to live life to the fullest."
