Are you there CBS it's me, Chelsea?

Well well well, it seems that yesterday's rumors of Chelsea Handler taking over Craig Ferguson's chair on the Late Late Show are false. The network took to the Hollywood Reporter to deny the rumors.

Handler, who has been pretty vocal about wanting out of E! once her contract ends this years with the network, has been approached for many follow up gigs. Her manager, Irving Azoff, say that Handler has "at least seven suitors." Some of which include shows on CNN, Fox, and CBS.

Chelsea Handler posted on her Instagram page a picture of herself holding a stack of papers with the caption "business meeting." From the picture you can clearly see a CBS logo on the papers, making fans think that she is indeed being courted to take over Ferguson's empty seat when he leaves the Late Late Show. However, Ferguson's contract will not end until the summer of 2015, and Handler's will be done with this year.

An exec for CBS went on the record to tell the Hollywood Reporter that "Chelsea Handler is a pain in the butt," after hearing that she posted the CBS logo picture to Instagram. Hollywood Reporter says that Handler is in talks with CBS but for a completely different gig, one that will be during daytime instead of late night.

A source told the media outlet that Handler is meeting with CBS execs about the possibility of hosting a daytime talk show. Other celebrities who have tried to launch daytime talk shows with the network include Katie Couric, Jeff Probst, Ricki Lake, Kris Jenner and Anderson Cooper, all which have been cancelled. The only daytime talk show currently airing on the network is The Talk
