Don’t Let Worms Get Into Your Eye After Watching 'The Strain' TV Promo! WATCH SQUIRM-INDUCING VIDEO!

FX has released the short promo for the television series, The Strain, based on the bestselling vampire trilogy by Guillermo Del Toro (Blade 2) and Chuck Hogan (The Town). In the promo, something tingly and squiggly is about to worm its way into someone's eye.

Based on the vampire novels, The Strain follows Dr. Ephraim Goodweather and his team of scientists as they try to find a cure for the vampire plague. An ancient evil, known only as The Master, has arrived in New York City and will spread his reign of terror on helpless humanity. Once New York is finally gone, so is the rest of the world.

This promo actually reveals a lot in just a few seconds. In the book, vampirism is a parasitic virus that infects and transforms the original host. Without spoiling anything, the eclipse is essential to the climax.
