Monday Night Raw Preview 4/21/14: The Shield prepares for Evolution war, plus Daniel Bryan returns

The April 21, 2014 edition of WWE's Monday Night Raw will emanate live from the Baltimore Arena at 8 p.m. Eastern and will continue the build toward Extreme Rules on May 4. Daniel Bryan, The Shield, Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista and Kane should all be involved tonight as we head toward the next pay-per-view/Special Event.

Daniel Bryan was off last week as he and Brie Bella were celebrating their recent marriage. When the WWE World Heavyweight Champion returns, it looks like Kane will be the first opponent to try to take the belts from him. Last week, Stephanie McMahon had an intense confrontation with Corporate Kane that seemingly ended with the rebirth of The Big Red Machine. Kane grabbed his mask and promised to plunge Daniel Bryan in to the deepest parts of Hell.

So what will Kane do tonight to spark the feud with Bryan? Will he attack his new wife? Will he go directly after the champion himself? Or will he cook up some other sinister plot to draw out Bryan?

Elsewhere in the main event scene, Triple H officially booked The Shield vs. Evolution for Extreme Rules. Hunter, Orton and Batista re-debuted as Evolution (complete with "Line in the Sand" theme music) last week on Raw in a segment marred by technical issues. Still, the three showed what they could do when united as they demolished The Shield in the middle of the ring. Granted, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins had just gone through an 11-on-3 handicap match, but still...

So what will be the next move for the newly reformed Evolution? Will they launch another salvo at the Hounds of Justice, or will The Shield fire back to try to win the next battle in this ongoing war?

John Cena had some fun at the expense of Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family last week, but the important takeaway is the two will face off in a WrestleMania 30 rematch at Extreme Rules, this time in a steel cage. The two likely aren't done toying with each other prior to that match, so who will get the upper hand tonight with the cage match just two weeks away?

Finally, newly crowned Divas Champion Paige will defend her title against Tamina Snuka at Extreme Rules. How will the young champion deal with the challenge of facing her tall and muscular opponent?

As always, check back with MStars immediately after the show for a full recap of all the action but for now, let us know what you think will happen tonight in the comments below.
